Iowa football 2010
I like to think that I have been pretty reasonable when it comes to predicting the season records in years past. My highlight came in 2006 when I said we would go 6-6 before the year started. It was the first time I made it to the spring practice and I wasn't impressed one bit. Truthfully, we won games I thought we would lose and lost games I thought we would win. So, I like to think I don't drink the kool-aide just for the sake of following recruiting.

Orange Bowl Honeymoon
My wife and I celebrated our belated honeymoon by taking a trip to Miami to watch the Iowa Hawkeyes play in the Orange Bowl. Besides the coldest weather Florida has seen in the last decade, it was a great trip and I can't wait to do it again soon. This was actually the first bowl game that I have ever attended and I've learned a few things that should help me out in the future if I am lucky enough to go once more. Here are some things of note that we experienced during our trip.

Kum & Go Bathroom

So, I went to Omaha this past weekend to visit relatives for Thanksgiving. I made it just past Williamsburg on Interstate 80 before we had to stop, refuel, and get back on the road. Much to my surprise, the bathroom at the Kum & Go was horrible. Smelly, grungy, and in the need for a little TLC. So, I thought I would take a snap-shot with my 5MP camera and then post about it to show my objection online.

I thought the piss/dirt stains on the floor mad a nice touch during my short stay. I can only guess to why it wasn't at least semi-clean.

Ken Okeefe: I loath thee.

Ken Okeefe couldn't coach his way out of a paper bag. Maybe that's too harsh of criticism, but I can't deny how I feel about him as a coach. I'm sure he is a decent human being and is a model employee for the University of Iowa, but I have my doubts on his abilities. I'm gonna say it right now, he will cost us at least one game this year. Book it.

Iowa Football Signatures
One thing I like to do with some of my spare time is to generate 'signatures' that I can use on various social sites or forums. I haven't been very good at keeping tabs on where I have been getting these pictures to give appropriate credit to the photographers. Most of the time I do an Google image search and then download the images without paying close attention to where they actually come from. In hindsight, I should have documented this and then received approval before generating signatures and will do so in the future. Im not trying to pawn off these pictures as my own but rather how they are put together. Anything that involves an actual football player or something with digital photography is not my own.
